The Royal Australian Air Force achieved a major milestone in the future of air-to-air combat this week, with an Australian-designed and manufactured Boeing MQ-28A “Ghost Bat” Stealth, Multirole Combat Drone having successfully tracked, engaged, and destroyed a Phoenix Jet Uncrewed Aerial-Target Drone using an AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) at the RAAF Woomera Range Complex (WRC), while operating as a Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) for a Boeing E-7A “Wedgetail” Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft with support from a F/A-18F Super Hornet. https://search.app/aFqEP
